Vanessa Vander Valk

Free To Grow and Panda Bee Catastrophe are thrilled to announce that CBC Radio Host Vanessa Vander Valk will be Master of Ceremonies at our “For The Pets” fundraiser concert on Friday February 12. Anyone who listens to her show (Shift on CBC Radio One on weekday afternoons) knows that Vanessa is an animal lover.

“My two dogs are a huge part of my family. They’re hilarious, and incredibly sweet. It’s a real honour to be able to take care of them. I’d love to see every animal in New Brunswick get the chance to live in the kind of warm, safe and loving home that they deserve.”

The concert will be held on February 12 at the Elk’s Club, 218 Brunswick Street in Fredericton. Doors open at 8:30 PM and music will start at 9:00 PM. Local art will also be on display and available for sale.

Admission is $10 or $8 with a donated item for the pets (e.g. canned dog food, dog leashes and kongs and rawhides). Fifty percent of event proceeds will be donated to the Oromocto and Area SPCA.

Tickets are available now at Tony’s Music Box in downtown Fredericton and at the Oromocto and Area SPCA. Come out to support a great cause along with local music and art.
